I place a high value on networking with others in the industry as a way to develop friendships with people who share my interests, and people who can be a valuable source of learning and guidance. I am also interested in meeting other newbies like myself that I can share information and best practices with, as well as grow in the business together.
Other Interests
I guess I could be considered a political junky who likes to keep up to date with the goings on in the country and the world stage. I am also a pretty knowledgable sports fan (especially basketball, football, & boxing) who also plays in several fantasy leagues online. To relax, I enjoy a good movie, cooking, spending time with friends (a cigar bar or happy hour), or going out for a good meal.
New Beginnings
I am a fairly new investor in Houston, Texas that made the decision in January to go full time in real estate. My stategy is to start out as a wholesaler and gradually transition into landlording while continuing to wholesale. More recently, due to the changes in the marketplace, I have been running into my share of short sale opportunities. After working with two short sale deals that fell into my lap, I'm in the process of integrating short sales into my stategy. I also plan to learn how to do "subject to" transactions in the coming future as I transition into landlording.
