UF graduate currently work in PR and looking to learn a bit about investing! I've attended some seminars and read a few books, but I'm pretty new to the scene so any help/advice/tips/info would be greatly appreciated

Hi Victoria,
First off, congratulations on your educational accomplishment. To answer your question above and a bit of advice. A good place to start is to identify what type of RE investing you're interested in. Some people Buy and Hold. While others fix-it and sell-it rather than hold. The people that are currently doing the the greatest volume in this economy are wholesaling and short-sales. Understanding that the later on average takes 90+ days for deals to complete, but if you know what you're doing it works very well with excellent profits. Wholesaling is the fastest way to substantial profits, especially when using OPM.
Second thing to consider is, what type of volume Victoria wants to do. If it is a couple of deals a year, you've probably got everything you need. If your desire it to do a couple deals or more a month. You will need systems and possibly a good business partner.
As far as systems go, I am sure you are by now well aware that like elbows, everyones got a system. This is were it gets tricky, weeding through the garbage to get the gold. I'd be happy to give you some direction, once you figure out the two elements I spoke about earlier.

*If you cannot find a way to structure the first deal , scrap it ...OR....if you are a man...MAKE it happen*! You have every resourse available to bring every dream to fruition, you, you just need to get off your lazy BUTT and be creative!...Deals come and go like buses...flip through the deck of card deals quickly and sift the good from the bad...this is a numbers game! don't be afraid to let deals go...but become smart enough to be acutely aware of the fine deals!

I think now is the time to be learning all you can about Short Sales. We are in a troubled market and Short Sales are the best no risk way now as I see it. I would recommend going to www.JeffKaller.com and reasding what he has to say. I've know Jeff for 13 years. He has a good program. Also increase your learning at www.AssistHomeSellerUSA.com
