About Me
I worked 25 years as a Systems Engineer at Electronic Data Systems.  I was desperately ready for a change. I took an early retirement in 2004 and bought a franchise of Showhomes of America.  My wife and I started staging homes and lived for free in many of Colorado's high end homes while they were for sale.  We also trained others on how to do this and eventually had as many as 16 home managers working for us.  We did this for about two years.  In 2005 we decided to close down that business and move to Prescott Valley Arizona where we now run a fitness center (www.club50fitness.com/az0007).
My Business

I'm looking to start a respectable real estate investment program.  Though I love the fitness business, I would like to get away from the 'store front' type of business where I'm more free to travel and have free time to do things when I want to.

Though the home staging business was fun and exciting, we had to move way too much and managing up to 16 properties made us glorified landlords...with all it headaches ....without owning the property.

My long term goal is to invest in cash flow apartments and receive passive income.  To begin with, I plan on recruiting and attracting private lenders in my area to provide the funds for my acquisitions. I also plan on doing wholesale flipping.     Once I have the backing and cash, I will start buying up apartment buildings.  That's my goal.

I starting to follow Preston Ely's "Flip Your Way to Fnancial Freedom".

Gordon,

It sounds like you have a range of experience. What did you do at EDS? When recruiting investors be careful not to cross the line with the SEC and the state regulators. The line is not where most real estate investors think it is.

If you need help or have a question just get in touch through my blog. Link below.
