Some of you think you are sitting on your biggest assets right now. Right? I want to share with you my thoughts about what your largest assets actually are and why it's not money or the houses you own.
First, it's my belief that your largest asset is time. Based on how precious it is, I know that; you can't buy or negotiate for more time, it is easily squandered, you can't get back the time that you have spent, it's hard for things done in time to be undone and if you can undo them, it costs more time to undo them then it did to do them in the first place... What are you being paid for your time? Your time is very limited. (I understand that, and that's why you'll see me get to the point quickly)
Secondly: Your energy is your another one of your largest assets. By having a larger amount of energy, you can take advantage of precious assets like time. You can leverage your energy to accomplish more tasks and position yourself at the front of deals and at the top of the list with other businesses. Use your energy to wake up earlier and stay awake longer. Over time, it is common knowledge that your energy lessens. I have seen drugs like caffeine used to increase the amount of energy that you can exert in a day to take advantage of time. What are you wasting your energy on?
Lastly: Your brain is your third largest asset. By investing time and energy into increasing the cognitive functions of your brain, you are able to better think about how you should be spending your time and energy. You can work smarter. You can invest your time in your brain by educating yourself about your industry, laws, common practices, the who's, where and how the money flows, what your customers need and think they need, when to push your chips in and when to pull your chips out. By challenging yourself to think of several solutions to a single problem, it becomes second nature. Your brain is the asset that helps you capitalize on other assets, and you should invest wisely into it, and shouldn't waste filling it with nonsense and unimportant/irrelevant information.
I truly appreciate your time in reading this blog. I hope that it has been enlightening to help you direct your own steps. Hopefully we can work together on some wholesaling SFRs or MF, commercial properties, rehab, or any other need or opportunity you may have.
