For those of you who are trying to use Facebook to promote your real estate investing business, you need to have a Fan Page. Fan pages allow you to have an unlimited number of people follow it vs. your personal profile has a 5,000 friend limit. Groups are good too, but fan pages grow more virally. You don't want to just post self promoting stuff on your page. Make sure for every self promo you do, you post at least a half a dozen non-promo content things such as quotes, tips, and useful article links.

Now for the really cool part... Once you have 25 or more people "like" your page, you can then request to have a unique page name from Facebook. This is awesome when you're branding your business. Mine is Secret Houston Real Estate Dealshttp://www.facebook.com/secrethoustonrealestatedeals

Good luck my fellow real estate investors!

I think for real estate, groups are better. With a group, you can email everyone that's in your group via facebook. With a fan page, you can just post an update and hope they like it.. also with groups, you can add people.. If you feel like sitting there and adding a bunch of people then you're in the money. I would pay someone to add a bunch of people in my niche tho... Best of luck guys
