I jumped in the car and took off to Jonesboro Ark. with my mom. It was only a 13 hour drive! We are here visiting my grandfather -- my son calls "grape grandpa". I have been looking at houses around here. About 4 years ago, you could buy a house with 3/2, 2 story in town for about $28,000. Today, there are in the high $80K!!! Wow, wished I had been in the real estate biz back then and know what I know now!
My uncle does real estate here. I'm off to visit him and find out more about the market while I'm here.
Anyway, I'll be home beginning of next week and will be moving into my new house. If you write me (as many have), please bear with me... there aren't many computers out here! I'm serious. I found the library in town to get on line today. Most of the people around my granddad's don't even own a computer nor do they care to!
Interesting how we all live different lives in different areas of the USA, isn't it?!

Your blog cracks me up! It reminds me of myself, I typically convince my wife to spend a day with a Realtor or we go by ourselves and drive around exploring real estate. For me that is fun! On one particular walk exploring an area we were vacationing I discovered a gem of a place - that I ended up buying. And for that one property there are 4 or 5 that I wish i had bought.
And hey while your there - You should get your grandfather to drive you around and hang some we buy houses signs. It would be a nice excuse to have to visit more often.
