This is a first of a long series of blogs. This is actually the first blog I have ever written. The purpose of this blog is to hopefully tell the tale of what a new investor goes through. I will attempt to document all the successes, failures, obstacles, and hopefully the ways those obstacles will be broken down.
To start off, is a little background of what brought me here. This real estate journey started with a facebook posting. A college friend paid $24k for a series of seminars and had a chance to bring a guest. He was in need of someone to split the costs. I read his facebook posting about these seminars that was sent to almost everyone he knew. I decided to make the $12,000 leap of faith with him, not knowing what the outcome would be and if I'd every see a dime of that money again. Being an fan of Indiana Jones movies growing up, I could only picture Harrison Ford in the Last Crusade, stepping off a ledge into a dark canyon only to be caught by a suddenly appearing bridge. Hopefully my company will find its Holy Grail as well. But only time will tell.
I currently live the life of an auditor. Like many other entrepreneur hopefuls, I go to through the daily 9-5 grind with the constant dream of one day being able to make my own hours and having that ever elusive freedom. Long story short, I now have have two partners, an LLC set up, a meeting tomorrow with a lawyer, 150 lbs of bandit signs that just came in the mail, a newly starting direct mail campaign, and a newly found motivation.

Keep us posted, Pete.
Look forward to watching you make it!
