So, the blog title is pretty self explanatory. I got a mentor! I'm really excited! So, the first thing he's got me doing is bird-dogging. It's not that high of a position, I know, but he's going to let me listen in on the calls that he makes for the deals. I think I will learn a lot. I listened in on a call for a fsbo yesterday and he is really good! He is definitely a seasoned invester. I really can't wait to start getting some real hands-on learning! This way I wont make too many mistakes, hopefully. I don't know why i didn't do this sooner! btw, reia's are so awesome!!!

onto non-related r.e. investing stuff, just cuz i'm bored right now (it's basically just teenage ranting, so feel free to skip over this part XD  ) Senior ball is about a month from now and i don't have a date. Most of my friends that i am going with have dates already and so now i really want to get a date. I have one person in mind, but I'm really not a courageous person when it comes to asking guys out. He's a super smart, video-gaming, artistic, guitar-playing, hilarious, witty, and sarcastic kind of guy. I really like him, but i don't want to ask him b/c i hate rejection. For now, I will try to get to know him better. I guess that's all i can do. D:

Great job getting a mentor.

Regarding the "teen" rant.  Rejection is to be expected in life, just like with real estate if you want something you have to ask for it.  Real estate is a game of numbers you have to talk to a lot of potential sellers before you find the right one, dating can be similar so prepare you self for rejection, but don't let fear hold you back.  Make a list prioritize what you want and start asking.

Well congrats on getting a mentor. As far as starting out as a bird dog, thats pretty typical. I typically do the same thing when I mentor someone unless they show they have more experience.

Remember you can't put a price tag on the experience your going to get, so don't let yourself down and never give up.
