My name is Elijah, and I'm eager into getting into the Real Estate business.  I've done a lot of reading so far and one of my favorites is the Rich Dad Poor Dad series.  I'm not sure if this is the right site to come to into starting out in the real estate business.  There's so many videos, packages to choose from and watch, I've been reading all the emails, but whats a guy to do when he has so many but doesn't know "where to start"? I'm basically just looking for some direction, so if there are any suggestions out there on how to get started in this business, I'm eager to listen and take in everything.  Please leave comments, would love to hear from each and every one of you!  :)

Hey, Elijah!

Get in touch with me, a fellow newbie from Ewa Beach.  You may have already seen me out there.  I can let you know the kinds of things that I've done to help you decide what's best for you.  Hope to hear from you.

Hello Elijah,

I think you have found a good site to help you get started.  There are many different types of investors on this site and a lot of people just like yourself who are trying to break into the business.

My recommendation to you is to start determining the type of transaction you want to get started with.  There is a lot of debate on this site around where people should start.  Some people think you should start with wholesaling to raise cash, others believe you should look towards buying and holding right now.  Either one has pros and cons.  I recommend you read some of the blogs and do a self-analysis.  Check out Jeff_Tumbarell stuff he recommends you focus on Time, Cash, Credit, and Knowledge. Review each of the four and determine which one you need to strengthen.   Also another good place to start is by finding people in your local market to network with.  Have you looked into REI clubs in your area?
