Getting Started In Real Estate by Randy D. www.randyhelpshomeowners.com

There are many newbies here on this website. For this reason I thought it would be a good idea to share some getting started in real estate tips. Sharing is caring.

Here they are:

Preparing Your Workspace

- Clear off a desk at home and make it your office workspace filled with all the office accessories. A computer, a telephone, an internet connection, a cell phone, pens, paper, ear phones, clip boards, calculators, books, printers and a comfortable chair.

- Sit down and set clear and concise goals for your next day each and every night. Do the same for the week and the month. Then the year and then a full blown five year plan. Make changes as needed

Education:

- Go to seminars locally and nationally so long as you can afford them

- Join the email lists of many gurus (then you can participate in their webinars and even get free stuff)

- Read anything you can on Real Estate Investing at the library or even better online

- Join your local Real Estate Investing Group

www.reiclub.com

- Post question in forums that your stump on or need advice on

- Write down what you understand about real estate and what you don't understand. Following this "no stone unturned" will set a behaviour of seeking answers.

Marketing:

- Keep your overhead low in relation to your current capital and track the response on everything you send out and how much time and money you spent on it

- Tell anyone and everyone what you do now and how you do it

- Get free business cards such as:

www.vistaprint.com

- Get a free website such as:

www.officelive.com

- Go to and bookmark your local county website online

- Direct mail: Send out postcards, flyers, letters, lumpy mail, door hangers

- Bandit Signs (keep them short and easy to remember with contrasting colors like yellow and black)

www.banditsigns.com

- Place ads in newpapers to attract the type of deals and people you want. Ads for buyers, sellers, investors, private money, and partners

- Place ads online with the many free ad websites such as:

www.craigslist.com

www.oodle.com

www.olx.com

www.backpage.com

I hope you have found this blog helpful. As soon as I find information, I share it with our great community. Happy Vesting!

Nice blog. A regular Swiss Army knife for the beginners, and a few useful tips for the old salt too. Very enthusiastic stuff!
