Hello All,
We all know Henry Ford as the creator of affordable vehicles. He changed the car industry back in the 1900’s – 1920’s by being able to create and sell more than 15 million vehicles. It was amazing how he got his idea to create affordable vehicles by mimicking the assembly line at a butchers shop. He saw how a group of butchers chopped up a piece of the cow and it was passed on for another group of butchers to chop another piece of the cow, etc…
At that point he saw the value of teamwork and probably created this quote. It pretty means that if everyone does their small task and work toward a certain goal then they can achieve something together and therefore create success quickly.
He figured that instead of having everyone come to insert a piece of the car he would delegate several jobs to groups of individuals and pass the car to them.
It was a great success.
So how does this pertain to all of us? We all have a team or should have a team of real estate professionals. We need to make sure that each part of our team does ONLY their job. We can’t get involved in every piece of the task otherwise we can’t concentrate on our main task at hand which for us is creating solutions.
It has been studied and proven that humans by nature are not multi-task. So don’t force what nature doesn’t allow. It sounds unbelievable but we can’t concentrate on doing two things at one time better than concentrating on one thing 100%.
So if you delegate a task for an agent to get you comparables, don’t go looking out for some yourself. Get your task done. If you don’t like the comparables or can’t rely on them then get someone else that can provide you with the task. One of the ways to become successful in this industry is to pick and create a real estate team that you can rely and trust. You may need to change your team at times as you find better professionals for the job or things that will improve the efficiency of your team and shorten the time to create/analyze deals, but your main goal is to keep everyone focused on doing their own piece of the work.
You are the boss and you need to keep everyone in line and working toward one goal. By doing this everyone will continue to move forward towards this goal and will complete it. Everyone will profit and everyone would be successful.
So if you are doing more than one task STOP and delegate it towards someone on your team who has proven to have done the task better than you and everyone else on the team. If you don’t have someone you can delegate the task to then find someone. Don’t stress yourself out on what you don’t need to. When you stress you can’t perform 100%. 

If you talk with any successful real estate investor you will find that they concentrate 100% on one task alone and delegate the rest. You get paid the big bucks because you create and analyze deals. Don’t take your time away from that.
