I want to do something a little different. I want you to figure out what this quote means. Take about 5 minutes and do this now. Write your comments below.

I want to see how everyone translates this quote by our inventor Albert Einstein.
Remember the quote is on my main profile under the title “Inspirational/Life Changing Quotes”.

What was Albert Einstein really trying to say here? Knowing that he was one of the greatest scientific minds of all time, what he has to say always meant something valuable and should not be ignored.  So when I found this quote I thought it was something good to share with everyone.

So why is someone who is careless with the truth in small cannot be trusted with important matters?   If you missed the true meaning let me rephrase what he was trying to say.

Whoever lies about the little things cannot be trusted with the more important things.  This is the simpler version. Albert was probably thinking physics when saying this quote.

So why is this quote so important that I chose to share it with everyone? The reason is because of how it has effected and poisoned our world today.  You see when someone makes a small lie and is careless about it they end up making another lie to cover the first one. Then another one has to be created to cover the previous one. This will eventually continue until the lies seem to become the truth. It is soon hard to tell which is a lie and which is the truth. People start to mimic the lies thinking it is the truth and soon enough you have multiple liars spreading the lies. At this point nothing good can ever come out of it.

Of course we all know that lies can start off small, like Albert says, or big, but they all end up causing a major problem if not stopped. What if they lied about their profession? What if they lie about how they feel about the situation at hand and just want to get the position just to make that extra income or feel important? What if they lie about who they truly are or even about their name?

Let’s take real estate for instance. We have many who enter this industry and although many truly want to help others there are just as many who want to take advantage of those we want to help.  They start off with a simply lie that they can “save” their home or can “save” their equity in the home.  They sugar code the situation and make it seem that its not a big deal and if given to them they would make it all better.  They end up getting the contract and start telling further lies that the owner has to do this or that for the deal to work. The unknowledgeable owner thinking they have a professional on their side listens. What ends up happening is they lose both the house and equity and they can’t do anything else since the contract has been signed already.
Luckily there are laws that have been created to prevent this from happening, but just as we are finding new ways to fit these laws into the way we invest these scammers are also finding new ways to take advantage of others. It will be a never ending cycle. This hurts all of us and this is what Albert was talking about when saying they can’t be trusted with the more important matters. Real estate is an important matter. It’s where we all live, work, and play.
If one is taken advantage of, it’s not something they can just nudge off their shoulder. It ends up hurting their credit and maybe their lives.  I have seen situations where the lose of a home has caused depression, divorce, and family separation. I am pretty sure every one of us has seen or at least heard the stories.
The more that are hurt the more it will affect society in more ways than one. If someone’s credit was hurt or they were not given a fair price they have to end up doing things that will cause them to cease purchasing things. This will slow our society down a bit since we won’t be able to sell as much and those that rely on selling will not make as much and also cease spending as much, etc. etc. This of course is just one way it will affect our society.
So a simple lie from one person can affect a whole industry which is an important matter in today’s society.

Oh here is another big problem in today’s society, identity theft. How do you think this started? With one simple person who lied about who they really were. They mimicked a trustworthy site and got your information. They were able to use it without getting caught. Hey they may have just wanted to do this as a practical joke, but when they saw the potential of what they could do with your information without getting caught they went all out and continued to do it. Others joined in and soon enough identity theft became a major problem in society today.

This also works with family, friends, business people, etc. One simple lie no matter how small it may seem can end up causing friends to avoid you, loved ones who will see you as the person who cried wolf many times, and business people who will take you off their rolodex.

So the point I am trying to make is next time you feel you have to lie think of how the lie can and will affect you. Think of how you will be seen by others. Remember no one trusts a liar and no one will trust a liar with matters that will affect them which leads to no business, which leads to no money, and eventually leads to no enjoyment of the luxuries out there today with at price tag.

Well that’s my translation; I hope everyone got their translation right or at least close to it. Until next time be sure to comment, grade, and implement what you have read.

Thanks, Livy.
