Hello Everyone!  Sorry not really sure which category this falls under but its a BIG DEAL to me so I'm putting it here. 

In an effort to increase my REI karma, I'm going to share a tip I learned today from the REI meeting that I just remembered.  She gave us a quick and easy formula to figuring out repair costs.  Said that it's pretty spot on every single time give or take $1K.  Here it is:

       No. of items needing repair * sq. ft. = total repair cost

So for example, a 1500 sq. ft. house needs new AC, and roof, and paint:

       3 * 1500 = $4500 repair costs

And for a really, really crappy house, same formula plus $3K.

       Same house but really, really crappy = $7500

Pretty cool, huh?
