It all started out today that I fell on ice in town and splattered on the concrete, hurting my knees, shoulder and hip.  I am moving a little slower than normal.

The inspector came out today and approved my house to get permits to start work!!! YEA.. He also approved my 2nd house as technically 'a house'.  The neighbor argues it is NOT a house, therefore it doesn't need road access.  But, according to the county inspector... it is! good news

The barricade still stands in my driveway. The inspector was stratching his head when he had to drive through my yard to get to the house this morning.  He sent me to the magistrate.  I went with documents and pictures.  She and the co-chief police told me he could not barricade the driveway, even if it is now his land.  It has to be available to both of us for all houses down that road.  I asked how to enforce that?  Who to call to visit him?  He said, an attorney.   Not so good news.  $$$ I'm losing to fight for something that is already my right to have.

The insurance money didn't come today and it was suppose to.  I called the mortgage company to find out where it is.  They got my package, deposited my check, but lost my documents that I sent with the package.  They will LOOK for them today and I should call them tomorrow.. that delays all work this week because they don't have their act together.  I had to send all crews home.  I can't pay them without the money.  That is not good.  Any thoughts on how to get some action with the mortgage company that is holding my insurance money?

and lastly today.  I had to send out TWO 10 day notices to renters a couple of days ago.  I don't know what is going on!  One lost his job and wife is trying hard to support them.  The other one is avoiding me and it's almost comical that I run into her just THREE times today.  Once yesterday.  She will not speak to me or answer the phone calls.  She promised tax money came, they would pay.  I noticed they bought a car, instead.  I guess they will all get to live in the car??? What are they thinking???????  They have 6 kids.  I order the court date Monday.  I hate this part of my job, but I didn't create the problem.  I still have to pay the mortgage payment.  Renters who don't pay, don't seem to understand that part of it.

I know.. it will all get better.  I'm waiting!
