I have decided to fix up this house that burned and make it into my masterpiece!!! LOL  I am an artist with houses, instead of paper! 

Yesterday and today we spent (my sons and I) the day removing all the STUFF of the last renters into large construction bags.  So far, we've made 4 trips to the dump of just junk. 

I'm trying to save as much as possible out of the land fills, so people are buzzing in and out, taking whatever they desire while I'm working.  Someone came today and took the cedar chest, dressers and beautiful four post bed.  The more they take, the less I have to haul away.

My 18 year old spent the day helping load this stuff on people's trucks and started tearing down the walls in the living room (he loves tearing things up!).  He got all the paneling and sheetrock off most of the walls today.  He also took the rest of the insulation down from the ceiling and cleaned it off to the rafters.  We are planning to gut the house down to studs and go from there once we are done.  It will make plumbing and electrical much much easier.

My 3 year old removed baseboards, outlets that weren't melted and helped me roll up old carpet off the floor.  (a BEAUTY hardwood floor was left in one of the bedrooms).   He also helped me load clothing and toys into bags to take out of the house! 

We are making good progress for 2 days work.  There is just so much STUFF in the house that it isn't even funny!  My son's girlfriend found a beautiful necklace and earrings still in the box, unharmed.  I told her it was her 'pay!"  They made off with dishes and clothes and even spices that had been unharmed and unopened. 

Tomorrow, I have more craigslist people coming to take things away and I'll continue to tear down the walls.
