Hey Folks!
I have been calling on FSBO's I have been getting form a listing company to offer my services as a lender with Indymac Bank (PLUG: lending in all 50 states no less!). The list comes form a reputable company who I even talked to at the NAR Convention in Las Vegas last week. Now, I have been using the service long before last week, but I want to get your feedback on your results.
I am not afraid to call anyone.....if the Grim Reaper is on my list...he will get a call.

So, today I ended up calling on several properties, and I get 4 of them are listed with a Realtor. Two of those were the agents themselves....they were a little frustrted that they had been getting calls. I am and always was honest with them of who I am and how I got their info. I don't want to mention the company who provides the list, but I offer this service to one of my Realtor partners. I also hope to get these people to do home comps through my Home Buyers Scouting Report (this is my free service to Realtors and clients that is an IDX on Steroids).

Ultimately, I would like their loan business, and the business form their buyers, but I am also hoping to please the Realtor who I work with. Admittedly, these folks all commented about how they had been called from 4-7 times in the last 24 hours. I wonder if these lists are oversold.
I have got confirmation from my attorney that he does not believe we are violating any DO Not Call Registry since they have published their phone number to sell their home. I always tell them who I am upfront when I call! I do have the ability to scrub the numbers for the DNC list, but, again, they have published the number..I am calling.
I do believe though that I may need to wait a week or more to call on these lists. If their call volume is from mostly Realtors in the last few days...then calling outside of the onslought might be better suited. They "might" be ready to talk.
Do these lists work for you? What is your advice on calling these people?
