In this short tribute to "Sexy Rexy", as he's come to be called here in Chicago, I want to say just a few things.

Rex, you're a young guy and you'll do well somewhere.  In fact, you didn't even do that poorly here.  But, this is Chicago and we don't forgive easily.  The city is already calling for your head on a silver plate and I don't think that even your impressive resillience could stand up to that for another season.  I guess what I'm saying is, this may not be the best time to kick off that chain of Chicago Style hot dog stands you've been dreaming about.  If my beloved Browns have anything to say about it, they'll likely sign you for next season and watch you flounder behind an underachieving O Line just like their last 3 QBs.  Lord knows that when Philly trades McNabb this summer it'll be Chicago that grabs him and not Cleveland.

Look at it this way, if you get traded then you get a blank slate in a new state.
If you just get benched...well, at least you won't have the opportunity to thow
any more interceptions.

Adios Old Friend

Just don't send him to the Browns - we have enough problems!

Being a Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a Chicago Bears fan made it an exciting year. To have both of them lose embarrassing games in the championship after taking the opening kickoff all the way back for a score was unbearable.

If it was up to me the Bears could trade Rex for some new equipment and maybe some rehab classes for Tank Johnson.
