As someone who works down in the trenches of real estate, it's important for you to know that while things have been kind of "icky" lately, it is starting to pick up.  Here in Southern California, one of the hardest hit markets in the country, things are on an upswing and the sells numbers tell the stories.  People are still wanting the American Dream and investors are still looking for something profitable.  With new legislation coming into play, new FHA terms that make financing more widely available to some who haven't been able to get financing before now, you'll see more buyers out there for your properties.

I know it's been a depressing famine period for a lot of you but I just wanted to say, Hang in there.... don't give up.  This is a cyclical industry and you have to be ready for the roller coaster to dip and flip once in awhile.  Fortunately for you, things will be settling down a bit more pretty quickly here.
