At our recent Nashville Real Estate Investors Group meeting Vena Cox-Jones spoke as the headline speaker. She was excellent. She has been doing this since 1989, so she has a lot of experience.

If you are a fairly new or beginning investor, I would highly recommend checking out her web site and materials. She has many free articles available (see list below). From her home page, click on the “Contact Us” page and you should see the link.

One of the best things she stressed for new investors is before you buy any property, map out your strategy of what avenues in real estate will fit in with your personality and way you like to work. For example, she likes to do wholesaling, but didn’t like doing rehabs. Of course that may take some practical experimentation.
