So, here I am.   All of a sudden I am 40 years old with a hot younger wife, 2 great kids, a big house, cars, trips to Vegas.... oh... and a job as a salesperson in the corporate world that I HATE.  

In fact, when I look at who I am, I see a guy who looks like a person who has it all.  Yet look a little closer and you will see a guy who is up to his eyes in debt and is literally 2 paychecks from living in my parents basement!  ( With my hot wife and 2 wonderful children at least )   To make things worse, I hate my job in the corporate world sooooo much.

I started looking at real estate investing about a year ago.  For some reason I never did anything with it.  Something kept me from actually taking action, and trust me, I am an action guy! Somehow I started reading about real estate and listening to pod casts from various Real estate pros.  All of a sudden I was hooked on this investor stuff, it really seemed like a way to make a great life for my family.

I am in the middle of my first real deal.  A house that was boarded up and forgotten about right in the middle of my town!  The owner is a huge grocery store chain and they agreed to sell me the property for 79k.   I advertised the house in my local paper and put up a few signs.  I have an offer for 115k from a person who wants to rehab the house and sell it for 190k.

Oh.... I have decided to " burn my boats " and give notice at my job that I am going to quit.  Should be an interesting 2007.
