HEY REI-
I HAVE A HOME THAT IS COSTING ME $3,200 PER MONTH THAT HAS BEEN SITTING EMPTY FOR ABOUT ONE MONTH NOW. AS A LICENSED REALTOR, I DO HAVE THE HOME UP FOR SALE AND RENT ON MLS. I ALSO HAVE PUT IT ON OUR MAIN NEWSPAPER'S WEBSITE AS WELL AS WWW.BACKPAGE.COM. PLUS, I AM A REGULAR ON WWW.CRAIGSLIST.COM
ONE BIG CHALLENGE IS THAT I KEEP INDING OUT THAT I MAY HAVE TO MOVE THE RENTAL AMOUNT FURTHER AND FURTHER DOWN. CRAIGSLIST IS USUALLY ONE OF MY BEST SOURCES FOR RENTERS, BUT I AM NOT HAVING LUCK. I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HOME THAT HAS, I'M GUESSING, TWO DOWNFALLS: 1) LOCATION-THIS HOME IS OUT IN THE DESERT FURTHER AWAY FROM TOWN AND 2) IT IS A 3 BEDROOM. OK, SO YOU MIGHT BE THINKING NO PROBLEM, BUT THIS IS A $425,000 HOME ON ONE ACRE OF LAND (HORSE PROPERTY) WITH A APPROX. $400,000 LOAN BALANCE. I WOULD RATHER BE UPSIDE DOWN EVERY MONTH THEN TAKE A WHOPPER OF A HIT TO SELL. I EVEN DIDIA REALTOR TOUR YESTERDAY TO GET A BUNCH OF "GOOBER REALTORS" TELLING ME THE HOME IS WOTH $350,000 (ACTUALLY 30% OF THEM SAID THIS). MY ISSUE IS THAT IT'S NOT "THEIR" MONEY.
SO, WHERE SHOULD I ADVERTISE THIS HOME TO RENT? I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT LUCK HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FRIEND (BESIDES MAKING CALCULATED DECISIONS). I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE HECK TO DO.

Are there any neighors in the area? One tip I was given was to pay neighbors a referral fee for finding a buyer/renter.......and they get to pick their neighbor as well!
