730am.  The boys wanted their paychecks so they could cash them when they headed into town to their demo job they've been working on, knocking out two porches on an old house.  They were suppose to be there by 8am, so I got up to figure their time and cut the check.

930am.  They knocked on the door to get their checks on their way to work!!! (two boys have to figure out how to get out of bed!)

Dean and Tina arrive and begin working right away.  By the time I made it down to the apartment at 930am, it was already sweltering hot and humid.  I'm guessing it reached near 100 today again.  They had already begun the task of sheet rocking the bare, concrete walls.  Dean painted on tar before the plastic went up, behind the Sheetrock to ensure a water tight house.  The rest of the entire day was spent sheet rocking the walls and mudding them.

Today, I didn't go anywhere for the rehab.  I spent time paying people and doing paperwork, (recording materials and labor in my computer).  I worked on my son's room and spent the evening organizing tools in the shop.  I think organizing tools and materials is so much easier, when you are rehabbing, to find stuff and organizing what materials I have on hand saves a LOT of money in gas - going to buy it again, because I couldn't FIND it- and in material cost.  Just doing that, saved me any needless running around today, because I could FIND it when needed!  I'm very happy to have the TIME to do it.  Since I'm making this move over, it's a fresh shop, fresh start... so I'm trying to bring a load home, organize it before getting another load.  It's nice to have help with the rehab so I CAN do this type of work!  One thing I've learned from this group of people... a TEAM is SO important.  You CAN'T DO IT ALL BY YOURSELF

2am:  I'm awakened by the sound of rain.  Nice COOL rain.  My instincts tell me to drive down to the apartments to see what's getting wet.... but I'm using positive thinking to talk me into staying... hmmm?  Did I REALLY cover everything up that was left outside... Yea... OF COURSE I did! LOL (I HOPE I did, anyway!)

Oh!  A renter called today to let me know that she made her late payment and I mentioned to her that her lease was up in September and I was thinking of putting the house on the market.  She asked me not to, that she would like to do a rent to own and eventually buy the house.  Cool!  That's ONE house in Sept. I don't have to get rent ready!  yea!

I have another house where the renter is moving and I asked her if this was her 30 day notice (she's past her contract and we are going month to month), and she said to give her a few more days to MAKE SURE she is leaving!  She's been a good tenent and I hate to see her go.  (if she does).
