Forum Rules

In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums on REI. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact one of the Ambassadors.

General Rules:

1. While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final on these matters.
2. Please refrain from posting meaningless topics, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.
3. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
4. Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the email and messaging system to spam other members.
5. Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts. 24 hours is the minimum amount of time before you can bump your post.
6. We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate RealEstateInvestor.com community standards. The RealEstateInvestor.com team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
7. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
8. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. If we find that you are using multiple accounts to post, we will ban your IP and you will not be able to access the site at all.
9. While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about competitor's products, we will not tolerate blatant adverts or the sort of 'ooh look, yet another eBook' topics. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from blatant bashing of other forums.
10. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
11. If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.
12. Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
13. You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.
14. You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests.
15. We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our support forums are a privilege and not a right. A banned customer is still entitled to support from the support system.

Any topics/posts of these types will be deleted.

1. Advertising Services and Solicitation
   1. We do not allow people to post topics or to send messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations. Explicit advertising and solicitation in signatures is also prohibited.
   2. You should never give out your RealEstateInvestor.com username or password to anyone. We can not take responsibility if you disclose this information to anyone else.
2. Affiliate Programs
   1. The RealEstateInvestor.com affiliate program is designed to allow people to advertise RealEstateInvestor.com on their web site and earn a commission on all sales generated through that link. You are not allowed to post your affiliate link anywhere on the RealEstateInvestor.com forums, in your signature or send the link through private messages to other forum users. Anyone that does this may be removed from the affiliate program immediately without notice. This rule applies to all affiliate program links, not just the RealEstateInvestor.com program.

We also have some rules that apply for certain forums:

1. The Off-Topic forum is where RealEstateInvestor.com members can gather to chat about almost anything, real estate or non real estate in nature. If you have a question that doesn't fit into any other forum, or just want to chat, this is the place.
2. Reporting suspected pirated copying of RealEstateInvestor.com
3. Please do not post suspected copying of RealEstateInvestor.com on these forums. If you suspect that a forum is using illegal content from RealEstateInvestor.com, please email the full URL to the forums (not the site's home page) to Info@RealEstateInvestor.com.
4. All sites sent to this address will be added to our anti-piracy database and will be investigated. The name of the person submitting the report will always remain confidential.
5. We will be unable to respond with whether this site is properly licensed or not, or our actions, for privacy reasons.
