Investing in San Antonio

Hello, I'm new to the Real Estate Investor website, and you guys have made me very welcomed, and have been lucky enough to be invited by my UK adviser. Now the question; what would investor look for as far as investments are concerned in a market like San Antonio where the big housing fallout didn't really occur? Your feedback and advice is much appreciated and a learning tool for me to be better in my knowledge factor.
