I have been in real estate since 2000 started out doing fix and flips and moved into wholesaling properties in Arizona. My company in Arizona is www.invest-n-homes.com and in march of 2006 saw signs of the market collapse. At this point we were buying and selling about 250-300 homes per year and had started to develop a rental portfolio of about 35 homes. In seeing the signs of the market sold everything and thank God we did we still took over a million in losses but all considered not to bad. Today if I started to dump our portfolio that would be around 2 million to accomplish. So what do you do when the very industry you are in collapses? After about a month while on vacation I picked a copy of USA Today and began to read the buisness section. I remember looking at a large half page chart that showed the performance of different categories of stocks and at the top was emerging foreign markets .
