Hello, we are a husband and wife team located in Westford MA.  Over the last five years we have been learning about real estate investing and are closing on our first 3 unit building on December 30th.

With the current conditions in the market we feel right now is the best time to get into real estate investing, but with lenders reducing the numbers of products they have available we felt we needed some guidance from experienced pros.

We are interested in networking with people in our area who are active investors or just getting started like us, and with people outside of New England who can provide advice.

I have created a blog at http://dwsproperties.blogspot.com/ where I will be posting additional personal follow-ups on how our progress is going.  I will try to use the blog here for general information that I feel is valuable to the whole community.

Currently both my wife and I are employed.  I work for a large corporation as an Executive IT Architect and specialize in finding innovative IT solutions to support the outsourcing of business processes.

My wife is a technical writer for a technology firm which develops software and hardware for the telecom industry.

Our plan is to create DWS Properties as a LLC to be our legal entity for real estate investing.   We are looking for REI to generate cashflow as my wife would like to give up her technical writing job to focus on her own company which provides professional organization assistance.
