About Me
I graduated from The Ohio State University with a major in Real Estate from the Fisher College of Business. I also minored in Turfgrass Management. I completed my first 2 years at the OSU branch campus in Lima. This allowed me to remain active on our family farm as well a continue to operate my lawn care. I am particularly interested in short sales and rehabs. I am employed as a real estate appraiser for the Franklin County Auditor in downtown Columbus.
I began investing December 2006 when I purchased my first rehab. It was located in a small town in NW Ohio with a very low resale value. But I bought it right and was able to turn a nice profit on this first deal. I have been doing remodeling work with my dad for nearly 10 years and have picked up the skill and love for improving the appearance of a home. I worked on this rehab during my Christmas break and on the weekends up to the end of spring break. I sold the house in June of 2007.
I also own Stoller Lawn Care which I operated until the spring of 2008 in NW Ohio. I was forced to turn over this operation to my brother as my full time employment now fills too much of my time. However, it was a great learning experiance as a small business owner.
I am engaged to my beautiful fiance, Beth. She's a junior at Ohio State majoring in Communications with minors in Design and Marketing. She hopes to work on the design and web related advertising. I grew up on a turkey and grain farm and love the outdoors. I'm going to own a boat for my future lake place by the time I'm 30...the lake house by 40!
I love to playing tennis and trying to stay in shape(when I have time). I have a wonderful family and we're all very close. We've grown sweet corn to sell to area grocery stores and at our roadside stand for the last 11 years. We have a great reputation and loyal customers are begging us to sell again in 2008. But I've got a career to chase...the corn will have to wait till I have my own kids to help me resume the business. I can't stand sitting around doing nothing and I love working. I love to travel and hope to visit all 50 states. Bryce Canyon National Park and the Grand Canyon are the most amazing things I've ever seen in my travels.
I'm ready to learn all I can about real estate. I didn't grow up around it so it's all new to me but I feel I was born to work in this field and I'll always put 110% into every one of my endeavors. I won't let money run my life. Family comes first no matter what. I want to be successful financially but more importantly successful as a father, husband, friend, and coworker.
