I am a 31 year old single father looking to provide his family with a great future. My current Just Over Broke (JOB) is a manager for a group home for people with developmental disabilities. I enjoy this job as it gives me rewards that money cant buy, but it will not provide the future Im looking for myself or my family. I would like to have the OPTION to choose to work it, not be forced to.
I love to spend time with my family, play sports (especially football), watch movies, listen to and play music (musician), hang out with friend, travel, and just enjoy life.
My Business
I am looking to get into all aspects of REI. I always like to aim for the stars and give myself as many advantages as possible.lol For right now Im concentrating on wholesaling and buying and holding. I might get into a little rehabbing but it will depend on the project.
At lot has happened to me over the past few months since I have joined the site.
I now have a partner and we have formed the company SO Gumbs Holdings, LLC. We are currently doing buy and hold homes in the Jackson, MS area and have recently closed on our first rented and cash-flowing home in July 2008. We are currently working on aquiring a second property in Jackson. I was hoping to have it closed by the end of Aug, but as we all know some recent bank changes slowed us down!!! But we got around it and are back on track.
My original goal was to have 5-10 homes in the Jackson area, but due to the recent mortgage changes in the area we are still aiming for our goal but are now looking to get to 5.lol We are also looking into doing some rehab work in the area as well. I will say that it has definitely been a learning experience from the beginning to the end and I know we have alot more to learn. Im looking forward to it as this has been a life changing event for me.
I am also working on aquiring Private Lenders so that I can be more creative in my deals, and aquire more properties not only in Jackson, but in other areas as well. If you have information to share in regards to this I would greatly be open to hearing it. :)
