DREAM BIG in 2008
Preview:
If there ever was a time to dream,
to make a difference,
to embark on something worth doing,
it is now.
Not for any grand cause, necessarily--
but for something that tugs at your heart,
something that's your aspiration,
something that's your dream.
You owe it to yourself
to make your days count.
Have fun.
Dig deep.
Stretch.
Dream Big!
Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy.
There will be good days.
And there will be bad.
There will be times when you want to stop,
pack it up, and call it quits.
Those times... continue reading >>

I want to wish everyone a blessed and proserous New Year. As I refect on 2007, I have to stop and give thanks for my many blessing. The most important was the birth of my daughter. I now know what people meant when they said you really don't know love unitl you have a child. It is by far my greatest acheivement in life. As for my part-time REI, I made $30,000 in 87 days on my rehab. I picked up the check 2 days after my daughter was born.
As we approach 2008, remember that we choose how we... continue reading >>

Well it finally happened... 2 1/2 years in the business and the vacancies are starting. I went to check on a tenant / buyer to see why he had not sent rent and the house was empty. He had paid $5,000.00 in option money 1 1/2 years ago and he takes off. Crazy.. At least they cleaned the place. Then I get a call from another tenant / buyer that moved into a condo I had rehabbed and her husband left her and moved to LA so now she wanted me to reduce her monthly payments considerably... She was not... continue reading >>

Putting my Inv. Homes in a trust
Can someone give me the Pro's and Con's of putting my Investment homes in a Trust?
Currently I have a few in my personal name and a few in different LLC names. I basically want the best legal protection but also want my personal information off of the County Auditor's website. The LLC does that but people can search the Secretary of States page and find out I am the owner of the LLC.
Thanks for the help!

Just thought I would pass along some information.
I used to let me tenants know I was the owner of the house. BAD MOVE. It seemed like it always became personal. Plus a few of them would drop the, I know I am late with rent but since you are the owner you must have lots of money.
Since I had all the vacancies, I have changed my tune. Now when I meet with prospective tenant/buyers, I tell them I am the Property Manager. When they ask who the owner is, I tell them that the property is owned... continue reading >>
