Still I Rise
Hello All! The name is Anthony and i'm new to this game or a "Newbie" as some of you would say. I hate that word, it sounds like come communicable disease but anyways, i'm new to this arena but I anticipate making my mark and money in this industry.
I'm originally from Upstate NY, obtained my BA from Alfred University in Upstate NY. Moved to Cherokee Country in the Blueridge Mountains; Asheville, NC specifically in 1992.
I worked for the University of North Carolina - Asheville for 8 yrs before entering Corporate America in the area of Software Development in Fairfax VA for 2 yrs and Research Triangle Park, NC for 4 yrs.
Following my stint in Corporate America for those 6 long yrs and travelling (pimped out) I realized that my 3rd grade teacher was absolutely right "I marched to the beat of a different drum!" So I decided to leave corporate and began contracting my services, while starting another company. That's when i realized that running my own gig is what i wanted to do. One caveat to that! My own gig and no W-2 employees.
So here i am, looking to add to my skill set and make new friends in the process. I've gained about 20 pounds in my head just learning and absorbing information from the big players in this field and i'm ready to check into the game. I'm looking to network, partner, JV, "whatever is clever" with all of you and take my game to the next level.
