About Us

Colin is one of the two Co-Founders of RealEstateInvestor.com and serves as Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for implementing the vision of the company that he and Matthew Leitz (Co-Founder) originally set out to accomplish. He is the proverbial "rainmaker" and has been involved in many of the vital components in starting a successful business such as raising capital, creating a strong team, forming strategic partners, and laying out the basic structure of the company. In fact, after he and Matthew made the decision to start the company, Colin worked around the clock for days to create the initial 45-page business plan. Mr. Egbert directs new business development, community growth, and overall team development for RealEstateInvestor.com. Colin is also the founder of Valor Homes, and has helped save dozens of families from foreclosure.

As Co-Founder, Matthew was responsible for many aspects of REI's formation, including creation of the brand, construction of the website, and the development of the financial model. His roles as COO include overseeing content management, website design and programming, staff communication, and ensuring the company is managed by use of statistics. Matthew's ability to find solutions and solve problems has given him a reputation as the guy who "makes it work". Before REI, Matthew partnered with Colin and served as the Director of Operations for Valor Real Estate. Duties included marketing, customer service, human resources, and the online presence. He has developed several other web properties including search and e-commerce websites, all of which have been put on hold to pursue REI.
