About Me
My name is Cherilyn and my friends call me Cher. I have been in the Real Estate/Mortgage business for going on 10 years.
I actually got my start in real estate as a credit restoration processor, within a real estate and mortgage office. Being a newly single mom at the time, I took up 2 part-time jobs doubling as a real-estate assistant and a mortgage assistant. Thinking of it as a learning experience, I was able to view many aspects of the real estate industry. I talked with various types of investors, lenders, borrowers, and clients with bruised credit unable to purchase/refinance a home.Lending really peaked my interest and I read everything I could get my hands on. Being able to see all perspectives of the home buying process, I noticed how UNEDUCATED a lot of these borrowers were. It was then I decided to pursue a career in the mortgage business, and went back to school.
Now years later, I have owned a credit restoration company, I have managed brokerages, processed loans and originated loans (sometimes all 4 simultaneously). I have worked with financing first time homebuyers, all government loans, non-owner occupied properties from small "fixer-uppers" to mutli-million dollar properties. I have also trained many loan officers and hosted home buying seminars for home buyers, and consulted countless real estate investors all over the country. I am currently available to do loans in all 50 states.
Originally from San Diego, I have made Dallas my home. I spend my free time with my eight year old daughter, traveling, and playing softball for fun. Just enjoying life. :)
