While negotiating a wholesale deal, the owner of the property, who was a seasoned investor, requested that I "register" my buyers with him in lieu of him having his property "tied up" in a contract. While I understood his need to make sure I actually had buyers, I didn't agree to move forward and risk being cut out of the deal.
