About Me
Hello, my name is Todd Bockman. I've been a full-time investor since 1990 working in a variety of areas of real estate investing - foreclosures, rehabs, rentals, multi-unit properties, lease-options, wholesaling, tax sales, development, and more. I am also a foreign currency trader (FOREX), a speaker, trainer, Human Performance Coach, and author.
In addition to all of this, I am also a Certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner, Health Practitioner, and Trainer, which is the science of success and achievement.
Think, "Tony Robbins meets Donald Trump", that about sums it up. LOL!
When I first got started in this business, I acquired a number of properties very quickly and started making a lot of money fast. I thought, "Wow, this is great. I will get all my family and friends involved in this business too and we all will make money together." Much to my surprise, I couldn't get anyone involved. I heard every excuse you can imagine as to "why" I could do it, but they couldn't. This sparked my interest in learning about the entrepreneurial mindset, and what makes the difference between those who succeed, and those who don't. This led me to doing extensive training and research in the psychology of achievement and success.
First and foremost I am a real estate investor. But I also have a passion for "passing it on" by coaching other aspiring real estate investors and teaching them how to break through the challenges they face with getting started in this exciting and lucrative business.
One of the biggest mistakes that new investors make, is that they think that if they just learn the mechanics of how to buy properties, they will become wealthy. Anyone can learn the techniques, but it's what's going on in their head that makes the difference between struggle and extraordinary wealth. It's not the market, it's not the economy - those are all excuses. Teach two people the same techniques from the same course, and one can fail miserably, while the other makes millions ... in the same market. Anyone can learn how to be successful with the right mindset. It's not a matter of can you learn to think like a Millionaire and be successful, it's a matter of will you?
I hope I am able to answer some of the new people's questions and help them get started, and I look forward to building up some profitable relationships with the more experienced people here.

Thank you for the invitation, ok here is a question, but most know the bottom line I think, so it is a bit of a test. Delete it if you like. It would make a better "Opinion Poll," perhaps?
Have you used and do you endorse online down loadable legal forms DESPITE their standard "Disclaimers?"

Hey Todd I'm new 2 the site in fact I just joined the other nite, I'm in need of help is their any1 you know of that want's 2 buy in Texas, I have 2 deals, 1 of them is retailed at $1,365,000.00 .... I got it 4 a great price and now selling it for $825,000.00 need 2 find buyers .........
If you can help me it would be great thanks !

If you have any books you might recommend, I'm always interested in learning more. Saw another deal tonight from our letter campaign that looked really nice. Am planning to offer the seller a 3-year option to purchase. Lot's of details in the mix, bottom line is;
1. they live rent free for three years, no hassles, no worries from tenants
2. we earn 36,000 over 3 years for the downpayment in rent credits
3. we also earn 30,000 in cash flow for three years running the property for the seller

I was a casualty of banking industry in 2007. Now I looking for some mentor that can help me to understand and be successful in real estate.

Great call.. I really enjoyed the "two hours" you took to speak with me on real estate investing and how to get started in the business. Not selling me anthing, no coaching programs, not promoting anything.. we just had a nice conversation about the business and how to get started with low cost lead techniques.. take advantage of this man he has been their and is willing to share. : )
