I own a Real Estate Development Company based in Toronto with a US and Panama subsidiary. Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland - committed Christian - retirement not even on the radar... (love this business).
My Business
I have been in the Construction,Design, and Development business continually since 1963 and this is my fourth Recession (what doesn't kill you makes you stronger...).
My company is The Bridgeton Group Inc. (www.bgigroup.ca ).
I am looking to help fledgling Developers through the minefield, while looking for new projects in the US etc.(my son is in Spain looking for product).
Until the lending frees up more for ground up developments (which is our bread and butter),we are looking for rehab projects that we can reposition as rental or condo conversion. i.e.20 - 200 units of Multi Res for rehab preferably, but not mandatory, with excess land for future development.
Even more interested ,if the projects are in Tourist areas.
Ideal is Seller financed deals that can share in the upside while we reduce their taxes.
Looking forward to blowing these out online- we're set up for online Deposits etc.

I'll be posting more later,but before I 'check out', I'd like to help expose you to the zenith of the business(RE Development) and help where I can to guide you.
On a more 'selfish' note,BGI will be offering generous Referral/Origination fees (read.. 'an email to me registering the opportunity and the Project info') for the Product we seek and Close. If you can bring equity investors for the Project,there's another Fee, and Participation for them. On a $2-3 Mil. Purchase,that could be $25-50-75K to you for an intro Not bad patooties -and I will post the Project Process to My Contacts only. .(Any Realtor Commission has to be paid by Seller).
