About Me
I was born and raise in Macon, Ga. I move to Tampa, Fl. by way of the U. S. AIR FORCE at MacDill, AFB service 6.5 years in the AF while station in Tampa Bay, I love the area, I now make it my home. While in the military I received a basketball scholarship to Hillsborough Community College. While there I major in Architectural Construction Technology, Construction Superintendent and Business Management one of my professors notice my work he hired me in his engineering firm as an engineers aid. I work for him for the next 8 years and learn all I could from within the business. After working my way up to the number 3 man in the company in 1990 I started Drafter-O-Graphic Services assisting architects, engineers, contractor, homeowners in both public and private sector with my services. In 1995 I converted to J. R. SCOTT, DMS present designing and building major additions, new residential homes, Light commerical and build your own home concept with owners acting as contractors and finance "On Your lot builders" Semi-custom builder constructing a high quality product with the use of external financing or preferably buyer financing, including "On Your Lot Building"

2,000 to 3,000 square foot homes with varying architectural elevation designs and features not typical.
Concept:
I have establish a high quailty small semi-custom built homes in the Tampa and surrounding area. We will offer a product line of in these areas which fills a existing void of affordable homes newly constructed from the $149,900's to $225,000 price range (1,800 to 3,000) Square Feet. The product is aggressively marketed to consumers through the use of the realtor network, advertising, signage and most importantly, client referrals. Our product is seen first in the form of (one) model home used as an advertisement tool to the general public and realtors. Various promotional activities (etc. "open house" and other events) we used to attact the interest of potential buyers. The design strategy vary in each market niche, with the initial approach being Conventional and Southern Traditional style designs fitting the market and our surrounding areas.
The benefits of this strategy inculde reduced start-up cost, reduced risks, low overhead and incerase profits for our investors.
