About Me
Professionally, after graduating from high school, I served four years in the U.S. Navy, while spending three years overseas on the Sardinian Islands of Italy. Luckily, I didn't end up on a ship out at sea. While there I mainly worked as a diesel mechanic maintaining and repairing large passenger vessels. I also piloted the boats I maintained as well as many other military functions. I could have become a Navy diver, but I decided that another four years of service would have kept me from really going after my dreams. I had a burning desire to go back to school and resume my education. When I went back, I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Management and Leadership with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from the University of Kansas. I graduated in May of 2009.
While in the K. U. Entrepreneurship Program, I received the opportunity to work on a software start-up project my senior year that I enjoyed for almost two years thereafter. I had the opportunity to attend a venture capitalist competition as well as pitch the business to some angel investors, who were my instructors. They mentored my team and I with their vast experience as serial entrepreneurs and executives. For the start-up, I was primarily managing the marketing function of the enterprise. Consequently, the project never succeeded, and I learned some great lessons in raising capital, projecting financial expectations, leadership, and reducing costs to allocate funding appropriately.
My most important lesson I learned was the importance of vision, more specifically that the initial approach the founders take toward a start-up. It can often make a huge difference in the effectiveness of the business systems, encouraging motivation, defining expectations, and making a clear direction for the business and its stakeholders. I believe its always important to see the big picture first financially, organizationally, and operationally and then measure your progress each day toward the ideal you have set for your business.
Right now I am working toward my Masters in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. Most likely, I will pick up various certifications in project management from the Project Management Institute (PMI) to help me gain experience and education to manage multiple real estate projects as a developer in green technology integrated into real estate. I would also like to learn how REITs work because part of my vision is building one to take public. Beyond that I would just like to buy businesses ideally as a private equity investor. With the way technology is evolving, I will most likely live next to the Caribbean and run my entire investment business from a remote office. Fun and Sun!!
Just to let you know that currently, I love what I do and that’s take calculated risks for profit as well as network on and offline as often as possible to establish real relationships and find ways to provide value to others and my community!

I fight all over I've fought MMA once in Japan even. I'm leaning towards strikeforce so I can continue to box also, but we are a little far apart on the numbers. I train a few different places haven't really picked an official gym yet it's always good to get a different look. I love real estate it allows me to follow the dream that started when I was 4 years old. I am close in both sports to a major breakthrough finally but it is what it is.
