I am in the process of closing my first deal on a property in Dayton. A 4 family unit that I am working on with an investor friend of mine.

Hey Bill,
Schools going great! Only 6 weeks till graduation! I'll be continuing to work at a real estate appraisal firm here in Columbus after that. So if you ever need an appraisal let me know! So far it's helped me a lot in understanding value, especially in the current market. I've seen houses up in Deleware Co. going for 20 to 30K less than 3 years ago. Just Friday I looked at a home under half it's value because it's in an area with so many other HUD homes. I hope to do another rehab in the next couple years but for now I'm pretty busy learning the new career. What areas of real estate are you working in now? If you ever have any leads on a home in the northern part of Columbus that needs a rehab let me know, I'm looking to fix up a house for me to live in the next year.

I'll look forward to networking more with you as I begin my career in Columbus. I'm currently a senior at Ohio State majoring in real estate and will graduate in March. Do you have any advice on the challenges of begining a career as a realtor in the Columbus area? I'm uncertain which area of real estate I'm interested in...I've completed one rehab and am also interested in short sales or being a realtor. Check out my rehab in my pics. Talk to you later!
